"B" is for Baptism

Colson is going to be baptized this next Saturday, June 6th. We have a tradition in our family that the week before someone gets baptized, they get a "special" cookie for each day of that week. The first day is a "B" (for baptism) cookie, and we talk about what baptism means. The next day is an "A" cookie, then a "P" cookie and so on. Doing this has given Trent and I a great opportuniy to talk with our kids about the importance of baptism before they get baptized. This is such a special time in Colson's life, and we are so grateful for the decision he has made to be baptized.

Gum

Preston loves gum. I swear he secretly searches for it all day. There have been many a time that I find him chewing gum, but I have no idea where he found it. I've said it before... Sneaky. If he hasn't been able to find any gum on his own, he'll ask for it. Constantly. Like I said, he loves gum. We were in the car the other day, and of course the first thing he spots after we buckle him in is the gum sitting on the cup holders in the front. (I told you... he's always on the lookout.) So we gave him some gum (you have never seen a happier kid). Not 2 minutes later, we look back and he is gone to the world, and his gum is hanging out of his mouth. He of course woke up the second I tried to take it out of his mouth. Nothing comes between and his gum.

Photographer in the Making

It was Colson's 2nd grade musical this last week. We ended up having seats toward the back, so I sent Trenton, with the camera, up to where all the kids were sitting on the floor at the front. I ended up with over 50 pictures to choose from by the time he was done. He got several good ones of Colson.

There were plenty of pictures to choose from of all the different back drops.

And he even got in several group shots. All in all, I think he did a fabulous job as photographer for the night.
